Yesterday, I put a cover over our pergola, and I can already tell I won’t be taking it on and off throughout the year. I plan to remove it when winter returns—or perhaps sooner if a hurricane decides to make its way here this season. I’m feeling pretty proud of myself for crossing off two items from my ever-growing 'do tomorrow' list. Spring is such a wonderful time of year and my absolute favorite—it’s not too cold, not too hot. If it were a bed, it’d be the one Baby Bear finds just right. The grass is green and thriving, butterflies flutter about, and flowers are in full bloom. 'The hills are alive with the sound of music,' 🎶 or at least they would be...if we had hills.

Logs, Light, and Lazy Sliders This image features seven pond slider turtles (Trachemys scripta) basking peacefully in a tranquil pond environment. Positioned on or around two partially submerged logs, their sunlit shells glisten beautifully. The logs extend outward to the right, offering an ideal resting place for the turtles. Each morning, as the sun rises, the turtles gradually emerge and climb onto the logs. At each of the two logs, one turtle remains in the water, patiently waiting to ascend. The serene backdrop, likely adorned with lush greenery and natural vegetation, perfectly encapsulates the charm of pond life.
