The article states that when they are retired (most are still in service), they will have served over 40 years. I hope compelling MPs to discuss the matter will force them to quantify that cost of refurbishment and associated training, and where that money gets spent (probably mostly in the UK), and weigh that up against the benefit it would confer to Ukraine, and the other spending options that might compete for that money. I understand we're committing 5% of GDP on defence spending. I'd love to see it spent in the UK.
