They are surveilling users of their <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/tablet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tablet</span></a> - a human-interface device analogous to a mouse or trackball - recording every application you open, or when you switch between windows of different applications. They are collecting this data via a trip through Google Analytics, aka Spyware Central. There is no possible way to justify collection of this particular data; it is none of their damn business how long you have your drawing program focused before switching to your browser and back again. The author notes their privacy policy really doesn't describe this collection of data correctly, so there really can't be informed consent in the first place.</p><p>2. Why on earth is it possible in <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/Apple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Apple</span></a> <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/OSX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OSX</span></a> / <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/MacOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MacOS</span></a> for a USB human interface device driver to capture this information in the first place? Apple shares a big slice of the blame here - this should just simply not be possible for the driver to collect in the first place. JdeBP<p>It's amazing how bug-riddled USB HIDs are. Two of my test devices are significantly broken.</p><p>The fancy 8-button Elecom Deft trackball only reports 5 of its buttons as variable inputs. Auch an einer zweiten kleineren Powerbank (9V/2A) bekomme ich im Ergebnis maximal ziemlich genau 10W bei 9V raus 🤔 Powerbanks waren natürlich voll und das Smartphone auf einem Ladestand, dass es das Maximum von 27W aufnehmen könnte.</p><p>Kann man irgendwie herausfinden, woran es hängt? Oder ist das einfach eine zufällige Inkompatibilität? Plug the dongle into the USB host, and the other side (with a battery) into the USB guest, and presto changeo, the wired device becomes a wireless one, and neither devices are the wiser.</p><p>Anyone seen anything like this? Ricardus<p>I know cost was an issue, but when they developed the original USB connectors for USB 1, 2, and 3, couldn't they have made something that snaps in at least sort of tightly?</p><p>When I use a USB2 audio device, the connector is able to move around enough for the device to lose connection with the computer. Aleksandr Koltsoff<p>3 tunnin etsinnän ja VM:llä testaamiseen jälkeen olin varma että löysin tavan miten saan pakotettua PC:n USB2 portit FS-tilaan (kieltämällä EHCI-ajurin alustuksen jolloin jäljelle jää vain OHCI/UHCI-seuralaispiirit).</p><p>Mut sit ku testaa oikealla raudalla niin tietenkin se tarpeeksi vanha läppäri mikä mulla on sisältää Intelin 5-sarjan piirisarjan missä PCH:ssa on integroitu "rate matching hubit", eli .. ei ole seuralaispiirejä laisinkaan.
