A survey of over 9,000 U.S. residents who completed a survey on political attitudes and personality traits found that political conservatives generally scored higher on measures of authoritarianism, social dominance, and Dark Triad (i.e., malevolent) personality traits.

PsyPost Psychology News · Trump supporters report higher levels of psychopathy, manipulativeness, callousness, and narcissismBy Eric W. Dolan

welp, seems safe to conclude that:

1. trump is in the epstein files beyond the "bawdy" letter about unaging enigmas

2. the stuff in the files is highly embarrassing and/or incriminating

3. #DOJ is using the release of ghislaine maxwell related grand jury testimony (which is *not* the same as the files) because a) the grand jury testimony isn't incriminating and b) they know the judge is going to deny the request anyways (grand jury testimony is highly confidential)

The DOJ and CFTC have shut down their investigations into whether crypto-denominated betting platform Polymarket has been allowing US bettors, even though it’s common knowledge that Americans are widely using the platform despite claimed restrictions.

All three crypto bills passed after politicking from Trump and top Republicans, millions in lobbying, a six-figure ad blitz by Coinbase, and Fairshake super PAC announcement of $141 million waiting to be deployed against anyone who stands in the way of the crypto agenda.

Trump thanked the crypto industry for their support at the Genius Act signing ceremony, remarking, “half of you were under arrest for no reason”. He later added, “I got you guys out of so much trouble”.

“They’ve got plenty of cash, and it’s great that you’re on our side.”

PS: It opposes public-interest regulation, which it calls "red tape". It's silent on copyright and intellectual property (except to protect the IP of AI companies) and environmental impact (except to streamline permits for data centers and chip manufacturing plants). But it does endorse #OpenSource and #OpenWeight AI tools (pp. 4-5).

Newsletter: Crypto bills have passed the House with “2, 3, 4 o’clock” phone calls from Trump to give “a little love” to Republican holdouts, $6.9 million in crypto lobbying, and a $141 million midterm threat. The bills feature few consumer protections and destabilizing loopholes.

Don't get me wrong; I love Tom Walz. He's my governor, and he's a great guy.

But listen. He's making the classic error every Democratic politician has made in recent memory, and this is also why I think we need to expunge every political advisor they have working for them.

*Why* do they keep giving oxygen to their opponents' campaigns?

I didn't know who was running for governor on the GOP side until the Walz campaign told me.

It's a blunder. They should stop doing that.
