Shopping for a vise (vice) for the workshop. This rotating one seems like a good idea and not much more expensive.

Any experience with them or the brand in general? The worry, apart from being crap, is of course that it rotates when not desired.

And is 10cm enough? I do have an old massiv drill press vise still in the village that opens much wider, I'm planning on bringing that over as well for the rare "open wide" job.

An advert for a vise that can rotate its head as well as swivel on the base. The brand is Dedra and the description in Polish and English. It's Model 12A510 and has 100mm wide jaws that open 100mm max.

Don't get me wrong it's really fecking important to report what's going on in #Iran and cover #IranProtests, but as a #US-bound camera crew they stick out like a Pantomimé in Mogadishu...

  • Their chances would've been way better getting in contact with locals remotely and going out of their way to not request or collect any #PII whatsoever in order to not endanger anyone.

Similar to how one can't just interview people on the streets of #Pyongyang, everyone in #Tehran is rightfully afraid of repression...
