#Trump...happy after 9/11 because his buildings moved up a notch in the tallness category

He bragged his (did he really ever own more than 50% of a few buildings?) Wall St. building was THE Tallest in lower Manhattan after the #WTC collapsed

(He leased it for either $100k or $1 million USD, you know Trump, you know which is correct)

Grateful I returned home to my family 23 years ago.

Grateful that people still remember and reverently pay respects to those who were lost.

Grateful the #WTC was rebuilt, not as it was so to ignore or forget what happened, but bigger and better, acknowledging and in homage to those terrible events.

The world changed that day and not for the better. It’ll never be the same, we must go on.

Photo shows a 911 memorial at the New Hackensack fire house in Wappingers Falls NY. Flags are at half staff beneath an impossibly blue sky ( a sky just like that on 9/11/01) 3000+ American and firefighter flags are planted in the grass surrounding the memorial, symbolizing those who were lost on that day, and who were lost since due to 911 related illness. Two stone pillars cite the date and 'Never Forget". A piece of bent steel from the debris of the WTC is at the centerpiece.

TIL that Minoru Yamasaki who designed the World Trade Center #WTC was born in #Seattle to Japanese immigrants and went to Garfield High and the UW.

He designed the Science Pavilion for the World's Fair in Seattle in 1962, that became the Pacific Science Center #PacSci (the nation's 1st science & tech center, also TIL).

He also designed the Rainier Tower.

Fun fact: law required that the Fair's buildings be used as govt warehouses after the Fair. Yamasaki said no.

Two days before this picture was taken the 2 WTC Towers would've been visible behind and to the left of the billboard w/ Schwarzeneggar's face

Sky is overcast with smoke from the WTC buildings drifting north over Manhattan on 9/12. On 9/11 winds blew the smoke over Brooklyn
