I've been asked to do Diversity and Inclusion committee work at work (for no extra pay) 4 diff times. What I've learned is to ask them "what are you ready to put on the table to change?" Usually shuts them up. If the effort doesn't start from a place of change-readiness, it's not worth your effort.
The first time I did it, it went no where. The 2nd time I agreed, I only did so cuz I would gain clear experience. I'm never doing it again. #DEI #DiversityandInclusion #WorkplaceDiversity
