Nielso<p>Having watched some demos and reviews of the <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Boss" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Boss</span></a> / <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Roland" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Roland</span></a> <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/SY200" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SY200</span></a> <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Guitar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Guitar</span></a> <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Synthesizer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Synthesizer</span></a> I must really ask the question: Is anybody really using this thing?</p><p>Among the many presets I heard, there was not a single one that sounded like something usable to my ears. Example: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYua-uo0_qQ" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=XYua-uo0_q</span><span class="invisible">Q</span></a></p><p>Is it because all these guitar players don't have a sense for synth sounds? Or is it because this pedal is… crap?</p><p>Or is it, because it's Roland's <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/ZenCore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ZenCore</span></a> synth engine again, the plasticy digital algorithm collection they stuff into every plastic box they're making today, ranging from keyboard synthesizers over guitar synths to digital wind instruments?</p><p>Unfortunately, their last analog <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/bass" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bass</span></a>-to-MIDI converter, the Roland GI-20, is super rare these days (requires the GK3b special pickup and a 13-pin cable, which are still available).</p><p>Would be nice to have one of these, there is no lack of decent synths in this world of mine.</p>
