🧵(1/2) Good morning, Fediverse. Day 94 of #The100DayProject is not good news, but not catastrophic either. Yesterday I had an intense physio session with electro stimulation, ultrasound, laser, icing, massage and the kitchen sink to boost. Today I was supposed to do a 35 minute test run, which was scrubbed after 15 when the pain returned. This recovery is not going to be easy or fast.

Good morning, Fediverse! Day 89 of #The100DayProject has me cautiously optimistic. Following a good friend and fellow athlete’s advice, I’ve been doing some plantar fasciitis recovery exercises and strengthening my feet. Today’s training was pretty good and my left foot is not complaining as much as I expected. I *may* still rebound from this in time for the 21k. 🤞🏻🙏🏻

🧵(1/2) Hello again, Fediverse. Day 87 of #The100DayProject has been one of deep thought and reckoning. Sunday morning I noticed a slight discomfort on my left foot when walking, but didn't really pay any attention to it. Monday, the discomfort was still there, barely noticeable but persistent. Today, after my 40 minute run, the discomfort evolved into pain. It's not sharp or very strong, but enough to make me walk with a very slight limp.

Well, Fediverse, day 84 of #The100DayProject was a no-show for me. I usually wake up by myself when I have a training run planned, and only set the alarm as a just-in-case backup. Apparently my body decided it needed a break, because not only did I not wake up, but didn’t even hear the alarm. Ok, body, you win this round. 😅

Parsley the cat shall be my relaxation sensei for today. 😸

Good night, Fediverse! Day 82 of #The100DayProject started with an early morning 45 minute tempo run: 10 minutes warmup, 20 minutes race pace, and 15 minutes cooldown. And is closing with a pre-dinner light yoga session. It always feels a bit weird, after so many weeks pushing the pace and building up distance, to start cutting down on distance. When the time runs out I’m like: “What? That’s all!?” 😅🤣

Hello, hello, Fediverse. Day 40 of #The100DayProject is upon us, and my 21k training saga continues. Today was a bit more demanding, 45 minute tempo run. 10 minutes easy pace warmup, 20 minutes at a hard but sustainable pace, and 15 minutes gradual deceleration cooldown. Slowly starting to feel stronger while keeping a more demanding pace, which is a good sign my body is adapting well to the gradual load increase 🤘🏻😉👍🏻

And now, breakfast 😋

Good morning, Fediverse! As you might have noticed, day 37 was missing in action. As Murphy’s law would have it, G came down with the flu and I spent the day (precariously) juggling the designer/housekeeper/nurse hats. Fortunately she’s feeling better today, so I was able to take some time for a 45min base run early in the morning, and to admire my neighbor’s roses, on day 38 of #The100DayProject 😅
