Darin ist explizit eine Deinstitutionalisierung, hin zur Ermöglichung von selbstbestimmt leben, zum Beispiel mit persönlicher Assistenz. Es gibt durchaus auch im Einzelfall gute Initiativen bei den Organisationen der Behindertenhilfe. Das ändert am strukturellen Ableismus, den wir anprangern, jedoch nichts. Nichts über uns ohne uns! Weg mit Parallel-Welten.“ erklärte Cécile Lecomte, eine an der Aktion beteiligte Rollstuhlfahrerin. Die Veranstaltung selbst auf dem Marktplatz war nicht barrierefrei, kritisieren die Aktivist*innen weiter.

Mit einem Megafon und Flugblätter klärten sie über die Hintergründe ihres Protest auf und kamen ins Gespräch mit Besuchern des Festes für „Inklusion“ und Vielfalt. Ihr Protest kam bei den Besucherinnen gut an. Er richtete sich gegen die Veranstaltung der Marketing GmbH. Die Aktivist*innen kritisieren die Verwendung des Begriffes Inklusion, obwohl keine Betroffenen und ihre Selbstvertretungsorganisationen eingeladen wurden. Statt dessen Organisationen der Behindertenhilfe, die Exklusion auf struktureller Ebene fördern und aufrechterhalten.

AuroraWeiß irgendwer, ob nächste Woche irgendein Gedenken für die Opfer und Überlebende der Oberlinhaus-Morde stattfindet?Für die (vermutlich zumeist Nichtbehinderten), die nicht wissen worum es sich handelt:Am 28. April 2021 wurden im Potsdamer Oberlinhaus vier Menschen aus behindertenfeindlichen Motiven ermordet.
