. @tomnorthfilm I did a dev session today, FP4 and then #Adox HR-50. Nominal 6:30 in HC-110 1+47 (dilution E). First surprise was the dev colour when pouring it out, pretty much dark coffee coloured! Second surprise was looking at the negs when I took the lid off to wash. The clear substrate makes them look completely different to normal negs. As I was pulling them out of the tank for the PhotoFlo wash (in a separate jug) I thought maybe they were thin, maybe not?

@rstub @Jim_Graves @tomnorthfilm I've just bought a 500 ml bottle of #Adox #HC110 "original syrup with extra-long shelf life", taking advantage of a short term offer to avoid the ridiculous £9 delivery fee from Firstcall Photo. I think I've got around 50-70 ml of my 2018 #Kodak bottle left to finish up, depends on how far into the sludge at the bottom I dare to go!

First thought looking at this bottle, I can see the yellow "syrup" and I'm pretty sure it's a LOT less viscous than the original!

So, the Massive Dev Chart IlfoTec HC 1+31 time for #ADOX HR-50 is 4 minutes, near enough half the HC-110 1+63 time (IlfoTec HC and HC-110 times are not always the same, but mostly they are). So, IF #ADOXScala = HR-50 rebranded, then I'm taking the MDC HC-110 1+31 time of 8.75 minutes for Scala as flat-out wrong!

On a whim I bought a roll of #ADOX #Scala50 (plus 2 rolls of ADOX HR-50, which apparently is the exact same film advertised for negative rather than reversal processing). Having done a quick search and failed, does anyone know a UK lab that offers b&w reversal processing? Analogue Wonderlab used to (from when they absorbed Silverpan), but it appears to be suspended. Plenty of places offer 8-film processing kits, but that doesn't make sense for me.

Luckily I remembered that Cameramatiks in Edinburgh does on-site repairs. Took my #Vivitar28mm in, it disappeared round the back, tap tap tap, reappeared, all fixed. No charge, a smile and a little talk about not cross-threading filter holders!

So relieved I bought a roll of #Scala and a couple of rolls of an #Adox ISO 50 film in 135 for around £8 a roll!

They also has a #Pentax ESII in for £299. With fond memories of my Electro Spotmatic, I was quite tempted... not this time!

Just another scan from the Rollei Retro80 roll (overexposed by the damaged selene cell of my beloved Agfa Optima 200sensor). Just a bit digitally toned by using #Gimp3, no further editing.

Camera: #AgfaOptima200sensor
(w/ damaged selene cell metering)

Film: #RolleiRetro80s 35mm film,
Develop: #Adox #Rodinal 1 to 35, semistand for ~ 65 minutes
