We've LONG known that when #TheOrangeMenace or his #Cult accuses someone of something, it's a Confession.

Their argument against #DEI is that it is "#AffirmativeAction" that results in hiring/promoting "less qualified" people simply due to their #race/#gender.

And yet, the result has been to weed out QUALIFIED minorities so less qualified Frat-boys like #Kegstand not only are given jobs they AREN'T qualified for, but then protected when they are shown to be incompetent. 🤨

"In his latest book,"Hayek’s Bastards: Race, Gold, IQ, and the #Capitalism of the #FarRight", #QuinnSlobodian writes that the rise of the contemporary right — both in its #technolibertarian and more #authoritarian strains — cannot be understood without considering neoliberal thinkers’ turn to nature and science as a buttress against demands for #socialjustice and #affirmativeaction in the 1990s.

"The book was intended as a corrective to the narrative in which the far right was understood as a response to the excesses of #neoliberalglobalization.
The idea is to understand how people who prioritize #economicfreedom above all else would find helpful allies in people who believe in natural forms of hierarchy such as race, gender, and intelligence.
Things like the present project of destroying the #worldtrade system are not explainable by simple structural incentives. It has a very strange intellectual coherence, but one that you can map out.
There’s a concerted effort right now in the United States to make the practice of scholarship as we’ve understood it impossible. It’s really an effort to defund #highereducation."

jacobin.comThe Method in the Far Right’s MadnessToday’s far right manages to combine the call for economic freedom with pseudoscience about natural hierarchies of race and IQ. Historian Quinn Slobodian explains how these ideas can be fitted together.

It should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway: the public release is already enough to mass target people based on their race, gender and immigration status, not to mention the actor's anti-#DEI anti-#AffirmativeAction positions. Freezing credit might still be too little too late, but at this point I fail to see any better recourse (even after consulting with professionals).

«De jure discrimination, such as segregation laws, meant that Black and Latino people were widely barred from attending many universities, thus limiting today which students of color would benefit from legacy admissions. “Who had the opportunity to attend these institutions one or two generations back?” Park asked. “Predominantly white families.”»

BEE or Black Economic Empowerment is a form of affirmative action, it’s a policy of the South African government which aims to facilitate broader participation in the economy by black people intended especially to redress the inequalities created by apartheid. #apartheid #affirmativeAction #BEE #BlackEconomicEmpowerment en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Ec
