Part 3: check out a shell on the move. Previously, you will have seen a still shot of a toothed top shell. Here is a video of the same sea mollusc moving over the sand. We were riveted

Part 2: On the shore
Also today we saw blue jellyfish and a moving toothed top shell, a type of sea snail. Mr Mothman-Spouse took a photo of us on the beach.
Part 1: At Sea
Today, Mothman and Mothman’s Mr Spouse went #wildlife searching around the Scilly Isles, firstly on a boat where we saw #puffins, #guillemots and #razorbills, atlantic #seals and a distant #PeregrineFalcon.
Not on photo, but we also saw #cormorants and even bagged a couple of #shags

Actual #AltText from a Wired article I ran across today…
"Face Head Person Photography Portrait Clothing Knitwear Sweater Happy Smile Adult and Body Part"
@indivisibleteam I applaud you for including some decent alt text, however I suspect the actual spoken dialogue would be really useful here for our blind friends.
HASSAN: What is habeas corpus?
NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country
HASSAN: That's incorrect
We hear that it was Trinity Wholefoods 40th birthday party yesterday.
Congratulations to everyone who has kept this *lovely* workers’ co-op in Hastings going all these years.

As shown in the #AltText the hand drawn birthday card to Trinity Wholefoods includes drawings of badgers and other wildlife, with the message "Celebrating 40 Years. Keeping Hastings Alive Since 1985
3 Trinity Street. 01424 430473"

A volunteer moderator told me that QRZ.com does not provide an #AltText field for profile pictures. (But don't worry, it does provide the EXIF metadata).
I mean, that does say something about your values and priorities if you're in the website business in the year 2025, no?

Edited to correct wrong ID...
Fun catching cliff swallows in flight & building mud nests. May seem obvious but I noticed that they 1st place mud footholds & use them to grasp while building out their nests. Caught better flight pic but cool to watch a flock take off at once
@drsimevans Thanks got the explanation. Shame about the complete lack of #AltText on this thread.
@TobiSchlegl machst du noch ne Beschreibung #alttext dran?
@neil Another situation in which alternative text helps is when for some reason Internet connectivity isn't perfect. If the connection drops out, the alt text will still show up even though the image fails to load.
Despite my vision being quite good, I lost out on being able to enjoy a meme because of a lack of alt-text. I could clearly see everything, but the logo in the meme was unfamiliar to me. Had alt-text been added to the picture, there is a good chance I could have found my answer there and enjoyed the meme like everyone else.
Alt-text is not just for the blind.
Your #AltText left out the most important part — the context.
You #disappeared four characters, and their organization from the text version.
Pedro Pascal says storytelling is a way to fight fear and push back
