TJ[8044] (3D) - 2014; 3D Satuday! And it comes with a sigh. I've already shot something simple with my phone but it didn't work out well. So, here I am again, going back to my archives. I think I've shot this around my workplace back then (as I don't remember seeing this plant elsewhere at all). The strange thing here is that the EXIF of the file states that I've shot this at 300mm! TJBasil (3D) - 2022; 3D Saturday, and something from 2022. Basil (or Thulsi) is one of the plants that thrive in this region despite the weather condition (and it gives nice scent when shaken). The leaves of course are edible but in my house we don't use them much. At times, the leaves look shiny green as if they've been waxed. I didn't shoot any new 3D anaglyphs lately, unfortunately, because of issues at home and life in general. Ride TheoryHohner <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/harmonica?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#harmonica</a>. It might be a "Little Lady," it might be a "Mini." It has features of both. Lanyard and reed plates match the Little Lady, but it doesn't say "Little Lady" on either cover plate. I suspect they may have run out of that part and just used the side that says "Hohner" twice. Anyway, it's an oddball -- unlike every other tiny harmonica I've seen, it's not in the key of C, but the key of A. I can't find anything online about Hohner making these things in unusual keys. It's not like there's any reason a professional harmonica player would want one of each in all keys... Top: side-by-side, parallel view. Bottom: cross-eyed view. 2. A color anaglyph. Notice how the red and the orange are completely washed out by the red lens, as compared to the cyan lens. This makes an almost stroboscopic effect at first, then my eyes split the difference and turn the reds into blues. This is my least favorite type of anaglyph. I think the only good thing about it is the colors match the original before you put on the glasses. (In fact, if you look at the stereo pairs in #1 through red/cyan glasses, you see the same color distortion.) 3. "Dubois" color anaglyph. Stereoscopically, it works better, but the reds are almost greens. Looks to me like images I've seen that show what it's like to have colorblindness. This process, however, works well for photos with a lot of greenery. TJTwo Maggies (3D); 3D Saturday! So, I spotted 2 "maggies" yesterday in the morning, and decided to take quick shots (at the moment they've just disappeared!). However, not wanting to struggle with the colors, I've converted everything to B&W and made the anaglyph. TJMy Dream (3D) It's 3D Saturday! I've posted this image few days ago as part of my stroll back on March 11th, and here it is again in 3D. TJIt's 3D Saturday! I've posted a normal shot for this one (well, kinda normal), and today I've found out that I do have a 3D version! Apparently shot with my favorite fisheye lens (Rokinon 8mm) and doing anaglyphs with a fisheye lens is always tricky. TJTriq Tas-Sema (3D); 2015 This shot (and another one from Ireland taken in 2009) is one of those rare shots that I've literally stopped gazing mindlessly before shooting it, meditating in its majesty. Where I live, we don't quite get such clouds formations, thus seeing something like that, in a quiet countryside pathway, induces amazing feelings of joy deep inside of me. I wanted to just sit there and gaze, forgetting everything about my problems, and my camera and photography altogether. Luckily, back home, I've realized that I've made two shots of the scene so I was able to merge them in one anaglyph. Making anaglyphs out of fisheye shots is quite tricky as well, but I think this one ended up well. Another strange thing about this anaglyph as well is that the B&W version didn't quite work well it seems; usually, colors cause ghosting and hence anaglyphs perform better in B&W to perceive the depth or the illusion better. However, this is not the case here, where the colored version is relatively better in depth than the B&W! ***Note: I tried my best to match the original colors of the image here on Pixelfed, using the provided filters, since the color space is not recognized and the colors change significantly.
