Question from someone who only occasionally photographs as a hobby, wouldn't all photos count as digital photography, or what is the distinction? Genuinely curious
Hi and sorry for the late reply, I think Wafrn was glitching because every time I tried to check my inbox it logged me out O:
I'm not sure if it's the general consensus, but I use the term "digital photography" to refer specifically to photos that I took with a digital camera, my phone and (very rarely) my tablet, ie photos that were created digitally and never left the digital realm, as opposed to photos taken with a film/analog camera that were developed and thus I own physically. However, if I want to post these online I'll have to scan and digitalize them so one could make the argument that they also count as digital photography in a way, besides photos taken with phone/digital camera/etc can be printed out so I'd also own them physically I guess it all comes down to what tool I used to take the photos first
Hope that helps!
