But the things is the machine goes to login screen after a while during playing music (and stop playing music!!). How to fix that? Works fine for my limited needs. As a bonus, some GTK software such as <a href="https://twit.social/tags/Audacious" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Audacious</span></a>, which didn't work with pulse earlier, now work fine.</p><p>Didn't even need to log out & back in for sound to start working again.</p><p>To switch back on <a href="https://twit.social/tags/Gentoo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gentoo</span></a>, I had to update USE flags and re-emerge libpulse, pipewire, and pulseaudio in the same command.</p>

Music players today suffer with a large library. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Gnome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gnome</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a> is trash from a "here's your collection, play all on shuffle" wanting me to make playlists or play a single artist, and the UI freezes a lot loading the library. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Lollipop" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Lollipop</span></a> is OK, freezes less ish, but has its own set of issues (and too many useless features imo). Maybe I'll checkout <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/audacious" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>audacious</span></a> again... But not a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/qt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>qt</span></a> fan AT ALL.</p>
