KayWhy am I showing you a completely blurry picture of a rather boring flower? Because I want to share what I’ve learned about this plant. :-) This isn’t a crocus, which blooms in spring, but an autumn crocus, which looks quite similar to the crocus. This beautiful plant is poisonous—small amounts can kill a person. This happens from time to time because its leaves are mistaken for wild garlic. It's also toxic to many animals. The poison can even pass into milk and cause poisoning in humans. It looks so harmless and charming! I was careful not to touch it while photographing it, but that's probably fine. I wasn’t planning on eating it. :-)<br>
