Like any Wren I’ve ever watched, this one was curious, too. It was under rocks, between rocks, in the vegetation, hopping in the water puddle, and exploring every knook and cranny in the area. Finally, it briefly stopped!

Ruby-crowned Kinglet is so named for the color of the crown, though it is usually concealed and only present on males. They are hyperactive, energetic, quick-moving, wing-flicking little songbirds and foragers in wooded habitats. Seen in S. Texas

We had already walked miles in the state park & needed to rest our feet. Thankfully, there are benches throughout the park for tram stops. We weren't ready for the tram; we only wanted to sit & have some water.
What a perfect place for a break, as many Orange-crowned Warblers were zipping around the surrounding trees.

Rio Grande Valley Wild Turkey by Debra Martz
A group of Wild Turkeys appeared out of the trees and tall grass just ahead of us on the trail. As you can see, this one turned and went right back into the safety of their habitat, and all the others did, too.

I think chickens are a great animal for a fursona. They're full of personality and come in so many pretty color varieties. Another practice/warmup piece, kind of was an exercise in line weight and hatching but mostly was just playing around. :3
