As a fellow autistic person, I would give it a try… but I couldn't find Elon Musk on Mastodon… incidently that happens every time I look for a bad guy :p
If his jet flies near me, I will give it a shot and talk to him. Actually everybody can watch out on: mastodon.social/@elonjet Together I am sure we will (eventually) talk sense into him.

When any loonie can buy assault style firearms without any vetting, you can only hope that a #GoodGuyWithAGun can stop them. In #Ireland it's very difficult to get your hands on such weapons, so when a #badguy snapped, all he had available to him was a knife to attack children with. Of course children were hurt and that's bad, but in the end nobody died and all it took for him to be subdued was a #goodguywithahelmet

And what did we learn from this experience, my American friends?

It seems to me that the logical implication of the "good guy with a gun" idea would have been for the Lewiston mayor to put out a call for all citizens with guns to get out into the streets and look for the killer.

If the "good guy with a gun" is going to stop the "bad guy with a gun," the good guy is going to have to get off his butt, take up his gun, and get to looking for the bad guy.

Is that really what we want? Somehow I don't think it is.
