We had so much rain yesterday that water was jetting up from the basement floor in fountains at multiple locations. Yea, that's not good. Concrete repairs are on my to-do list. As is checking gutters. #swarthmore #delco #pennsylvania #rain #flooding #weather #basement #cats

Cleared out the basement.

An old shelf with preserved plums from 2018 that nobody is willing to taste.

A mix of drain pipes, some steel, one plastic and two made of cancer.

And some firewood from the old potato storage planks.

The hole is a sump for a bilge pump, although we've never seen any water down there.

This area is one of my main headaches. It's an obvious retrofit, the walls are ok, the ceiling strong but it is so crookedly inserted that I'd have to make a ramp in the room above to leave it as is. Currently the floor is a hillscape of poorly spread concrete.

Perhaps I will remove one layer of bricks and reset the ceiling. The concrete chips away suspiciously easily anyways. Loads of work though

Has anyone installed #LVP in a basement or over a concrete slab anywhere? Wondering about experiences with vapor barriers and the possibility of mold from water wicking up.

Reading many differing opinions on this, from floating to glued, to... Anyway, experiences shared would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do I know any #English lawyers?

Nothing bad, I am just curious how someone would get case documents out of the court system for a tribunal I did back in 2014 - Since I assume those documents are "public" now.

I guess us Americans are all waiting now for Trump to announce that Mexicans are a lesser race of people who are better off being exterminated in gas chambers.
