Is anyone else using a Mackie Onyx 16 with Bitwig on Linux? Bitwig 5.3.11 and up complain that the device takes too long to respond and causes an audio engine crash. It can be started but I then also have to faff about getting the outputs to work properly. It works fine with my Behringer UMD404. I'm going to ticket Bitwig but just wondered if anyone else does. #bitwig #mackie
Ah dang, figured out the latest #bitwig beta .deb file won't run on MX Linux because it needs a more recent version of glibc. Upgrading that sounds risky af, especially when I'm a bit of a noob.
Flatpak runs fine but ofc doesn't talk to yabridge, so none of my Windows VSTs I like to use...
I started thinking about containers and running DAW, wine, yabridge, plugins there... then realised given I almost solely make music + use a browser on my laptop I may as well skip the container step and change distro again.

New #Bitwig beta looks right up my alley, but I can't make it run on my PC (MX Linux). Done the beta thing and emailed them.

@alisynthesis I got a Zoom L6 on Linux question: I can see from the screenshots on your blog post about using it with #Bitwig that you get all the inputs and outputs listed in the audio settings. I only have stereo in/out. Do you know what I need to do to get all the ins and outs as well?
