chris@strafpla.net<p>The apparent nonsense of 3D-Printer manufacturers forking slicers and firmware makes more sense once you consider patents. <br>If Bambu used Main-<a href="https://mstdn.strafpla.net/tags/Orcaslicer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Orcaslicer</span></a> with the brick layers mode, which is patented, I bet they would be sued.<br>Whether dubious patents will be considered valid or not, there’s always profit even in the least plausible patent dispute.
