I love the way glazed bricks have been used to add decorative elements to the facade of this section of a Victorian weaving factory on French Street in the Dalmarnock area of Glasgow. It's small features like this which really help to make buildings stand out, but that are all too often missing from modern buildings.

This is from one the gardens this weekend. It was quite hard to get photos because it was a small garden and there were lots of people there (I generally try not to photograph people - at least not in a very recognizable way if I can help it) but we managed to snag this and another photo of a cute gnome!

Rolling out the green carpet for #Doorsday!

On Sunday, I took my bike and explored some districts in the south of #Magdeburg. In #Westerhüsen, I found some #urbanDecay, but also rural vibes, understated street art, colourful houses, and a lot of nature. This #door caught my eye immediately. I don't know what the #building used to be – maybe a #post office, with the #postBox and yellow details?

Catching up on some birthday building and the #F1 season in parallel; I'm continually blown away by #LEGO's innovative building techniques with the #SpeedChampions line, coaxing non-orthogonal lines out of rectangular #bricks, and achieving incredible levels of detail. Nice representation as well with the #F40, instead of the typical smirking sunglasses dude...

Looks like #BlueBrixx is axing their series of 6W #train sets in favour of 8W: almost all 6W #locos and #coaces have been designated "EOL" (end-of-life) while quite a bunch of new 8W #models have been announced.

Doesn't mean threy are gone tomorrow but if you like their 6W rolling stock you should keep an eye on availability.

Customers seem to prefer 8W models and in terms of detail I can't blame them.
