@Snowshadow I live in Manotick, in #Carleton riding, and myself as a voter, the long ballot was not a bother. The font was the same size as a regular ballot, just the paper was longer. The candidates names were listed alphabetically so easy to avoid #Poilievre and choose #Fanjoy, the rest was noise and easily ignored. I of course watched the folding of my ballot and placement in the ballot box: that took less than 40 seconds, although maybe I had a professional folder!
This will never not be hilarious to me. He deserves every bad day. #Poilievre #Carleton #elxn2025 #cdnpoli
I just learned that #PierrePoilievre did not campaign in his own riding of #Carleton. After more than twenty years as their member of #Parliament, I guess he just took it for granted that he'd win there again.
Wrong, asswipe!
265/266 polls reported. It ain’t over till it’s over. (But it’s over)

@squared99 Hmmm...
So seeing a Blue Check Mark besides someone's name on Social Media does mean something after all.
Who knew?
And the Asterisk beside's someone else's name now means something else.
Today I Learned.

While it is too early for an Order of Canada,
And beyond his purview,
OoC's are the Governor-General's gig,
During last night's Victory Speech
The ONLY MP-Elect our Prime Minister name-dropped was...
"Yes, Bruce Fanjoy.
"I’m looking forward to working with Bruce Fanjoy.
"Fantastic.
"He will be a great MP.
"We’re gonna have fun today, yes.
"We’re gonna have fun."
You know what'd be really funny?
Making Fanjoy a Minister.

Seriously. There needs to be a parade or something. How can Canada show our gratitude to the people of #Carleton?
Alas, the Starbucks in the Library is no more! Rumor has it that Bridgehead will be taking over the space. #carleton

Bruce Fanjoy has been working his riding for months, and deserves recognition and respect for all he’s done. Also though, if Carleton did replace Pierre Poilievre with Bruce Fanjoy, and the NDP candidate did get only 1.5% of the vote (3-4 points below where she was polling) then my hypothesis is she put support behind Fanjoy to ensure LPC and NDP didn’t split the vote, and Beth Prokaska is a hero.
That’s my theory. #BethPokaskaIsAHero
