Dmytro Morykit Music<p>My creative response in 2008 to commemorate the <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Holodomor" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Holodomor</span></a> </p><p>The piece was commissioned by the Ukrainian Consul in <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Edinburgh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Edinburgh</span></a> and I worked with choreographer Steinvor Palsson.<br>The first section gave background information and shows Russian propaganda footage from that time In 2008 few beyond the Ukrainian community had heard of the Holodomor so I wanted it to inform as well as commemorate.. The film then moves on to the creative dance.
