Having previously entered into settlements with Washington, D.C. and Illinois, Doordash has now agreed in a settlement with NY AG Letitia James to distribute $16.8 million to its New York State employees whose tips it stole. It’s a start. Still, I wish I used Doordash so I could stop using Doordash.

Bank enters into deal with jails that detainees’ money upon arrest plus any outside funds received go onto a debit card. Upon release, the detainee gets the card, which comes with fees. Court certified class action for violations of state and federal law.

Court dismisses purported class action against Home Depot over late fees for tool rental. The claims were not strong, but the action was dismissed because named plaintiff failed to provide written notice. He only called multiple times to complain.
