5 years ago today, Hurricane #Dorian stalled over the Bahamas, causing the worst natural disaster in the country’s history 🇧🇸

Winds reached 185 mph (295 km/h). Parts of Great Abaco and Grand Bahama were within the eyewall for an incredible 22 hours.

@shtrom apart from understanding now why #dorian criminal to bring it into hotels? Sort of like a slightly rotten roast garlic with the consistency of an avocado, is the best I can describe it. The actual flavor of it is not bad, almost like moderately ripe mango underneath all that.

Rupert was a once in a lifetime #Cat . He was a red #CornishRex who was the most intuitive and affectionate cat we've ever known (and we've had a lot of cats over the years since 1982). At the age of 10 months he became a #champion to the rest of the world, but for us he was one from the day we brought him home. This was taken when he was 10, in 2012. He died late in the fall of 2019 after #hurricane #Dorian. We miss him still. #throwbackthursday #cats #catsofmastodon #tabbycat #EllieKPosts
