Everyone working in the #Drupal ecosystem needs to take a minute and read https://www.linuxfoundation.org/press/linux-foundation-announces-the-fair-package-manager-project-for-open-source-content-management-system-stability. If this gains traction (and it looks like it will), this is not only a HUGE step forward for the WP community to address their governance issues, I can only hope that the support from the Linux Foundation means FAIR will also address WP's GINO (GPL in name only) approach to licensing.

Even when using Composer w/ WP, you couldn’t trust `composer licenses`.

For the past few months, my sites have been running much, much slower than the previous few years. In a post earlier today, I blamed my web host but maybe I'm wrong? It might be the fact that they're built on WordPress? I have a site that I've been building with straight HTML and CSS and it's running just fine.

I think instead of blaming my web host, who has been awesome for years, it's time to move completely away from WordPress. If, for some reason, I need a CMS, maybe I should finally get serious about moving to @drupal or @joomla, and everything else, build with HTML and CSS?

Does anyone here use the IndieWeb module for Drupal? I'm curious about trying it out for my blog, but it looks pretty extensive and I'm still not 100% clear on all of the pieces needed to be IndieWeb friendly.

One of my favorite #Drupal modules, In Other Words, came out with a new major release.

It allows site builders to present lists naturally.

for example,

- apples
- bananas
- grapes

can be presented as

apples, bananas and grapes

or

apples, bananas, and grapes

or

apples, bananas & grapes

sequential items (like days) can be presented as things like

Monday through Thursday and Saturday
