Over 100 riders showed up for the Motorless Motion Bike Week Taco Ride

Welcome to the Madison Bikes newsletter. What a wonderful Bike Week it has been! There was so much effort that went into the planning and coordination for the past week of rides, classes, discounts, snack stations, and more. We are incredibly grateful for all of the community members, businesses, and volunteers who put on […]

@DaveMasonDotMe this is my private email, so there aren't all that many large attachments - pictures are usually shares via messengers these days (and automatically synced to my NAS), and I really don't mind how much space my work email takes on my company's servers 🙂

Back in the days when we still had a quota that could run full, I'd sort mails by size and delete the top few that had ridiculously large attachments - which is freeing up space for thousands of normal sized emails.

But yes, it would be good to have the ability to store attachments separately, and for the email client to have something like a file manager for attachments (and leaving a link in the email to where the attachment was stored to). There is a feature request for my preferred #email client #vivaldi for something like this that has surprisingly few votes.

Ultimately, it really doesn't matter whether the attachment is stored together with my email or on some file folder, it will take up the space it needs one way or the other.

I am looking for an Email Provider that isn’t based in the US (so not Nadir or Riseup) and that is not owned by big tech companies. After some research (european-alternatives.eu/alternative-to/gmail), I have found two options:
* Posteo
* Proton
Has anyone used either of these? I would love to hear your thoughts on which is better and why. If you have any other recommendations, please feel free to share them!

Companies: Fix your fucking #EMail #servers so they deal with #greylisting ***Correctly***.

My server is set to accept after 30 seconds, soooo why am I waiting two hours for an EMail (with a code that expires after ten minutes, naturally)? Because the config is wrong.
