ICYMI, Dragonfly.eco posted a wonderful interview with R.A. Busby about her horror novella YOU WILL SPEAK FOR THE DEAD. It's striking how right from the start (pictured in the graphic) Mary Woodbury refers to this novella as "beautiful" and focuses on the positive and even tender aspects of a novella that is actually body horror. I love the complexity of this book.

Where we are, a cold and rainy fall is settling in finally: the perfect time for more spooky books!

If you are a fan of body horror, or want horror that disgusts and disturbs while maintaining strange tenderness, check out this unique read! R.A. Busby's YOU WILL SPEAK FOR THE DEAD came out Oct 10 and is available everywhere books are sold.

Big thanks to Kelsea Yu for her kind words!

Happy Book Birthday to R.A. Busby, who wrote this utterly unique beautiful and gross thing that we are very proud to publish. Pick up your copy just in time for spooky season!

Because of our new distribution situation, the print version of this book isn't available in Canada for a couple more months, unless you order directly from us. It is available digitally, though, and in print outside of Canada. Complicated, yeah.

A new eco-horror novella from body horror master R.A. Busby is out soon! We are infinitely grateful Joe Koch has these words to say about it: "With its surprisingly happy ending, I'm a little worried that the book is a hoarder's fantasy and that I've been unwittingly converted. Excuse me while I grab the disinfectant."

Busby’s grotesque & beautiful novella is coming soon! Order for: that delicious dirty feeling, surprising tenderness, ballsack tentacles. #ecohorror #horror #books #bookstodon

The finalized schedule for Can*Con is out & I'm VERY excited! Sat am, I'll be a panelist for "Oceans and Coastlines of the Near Future" with Cathy Hird & Mark Robinson & modded by Clare Wall, then I'll mod the Sat pm panel "Post-Colonial Perspectives on the Post-Apocalypse" with Tiffany Morris, Suzan Palumbo, & Waubgeshig
Rice

Hope to see you there!

6.2: Publishing Eco Horror & Solarpunk with Selena Middleton of Stelliform Press

This week on Solarpunk Presents Podcast, Ariel chats with Selena Middleton, Publisher and Editor of Stelliform Press, all about publishing eco-fiction. What is eco-horror, and how does it relate to solarpunk fiction? What are the hallmarks of a good solarpunk story, according to Selena? How does history fit into visions of the future, and what does character have to do with it? Join us as we discuss all this and more.

It's another Acquisition Announcement Monday! As a small press editor there is nothing like the thrill of discovering a brand new author in the slush, especially when the book blows you away with its style and originality. I read so much of this manuscript with my mouth hanging open or with a grin of surprise and delight. Can't wait to share this weird fantasy/horror novella with you in 2026!

IT'S COVER REVEAL TIME! Many of you submitted fun guesses, but no one guessed the animal on the cover of this book. The closest guess, taxinomically, was @wreggitt's "rat."

R.A. Busby's forthcoming novella YOU WILL SPEAK FOR THE DEAD features an itty bitty baby hedgehog. His name is Jack Sharpnails and he looks at all of us with some scepticism.

YOU WILL SPEAK FOR THE DEAD is now available for preorder on our website: stelliform.press/index.php/pro
