This also points to the need to pay a HUMAN Editor instead of relying on only #AI or grammar-checker software to "edit" the book. Human eyes would have caught this. Chatbots and #Grammarly are NOT a full replacement for a paid #Editor . "Self-editing" does NOT replace a human Editor.

Humans will catch other things that AI tends to miss, like:

* A character's eye or clothing color changing mid-paragraph.

* Info dumps (NEVER use them).

* Overuse of the same word.

* Too much tell, not enough show.

* Homonymns and other words that spell-checkers won't catch.

* Inconsistent punctuation style.

* Paragraphs that REALLY need to be broken up.

* The most problematic issues with "self-editing" are the sentences where YOU know what you meant, but the reader will be confused.

A good #editor does far more than spellcheck. They are well worth their cost. A quality book uses human Editors.

This latest release provides the first Appimage for Linux users. Up until now Linux users have had to build from source or get a build from a repo or flatpak, but now the Appimage makes it very easy to download and run this editor.

#microsoftedit #microsoft / #Edit We all edit.

github.com/microsoft/edit?tab= simple editor for simple needs.

This editor pays homage to the classic #msdos #editor but with a #modern interface and input controls similar to #VS Code. The goal is to provide an accessible editor that even users largely unfamiliar with #terminals can easily use.

Well, I'm desperate, so here we go...

If anyone is in need of a copywriter or knows of any openings, I need a job. I've got 18 years of copywriting/copyediting/communications experience across a range of industries.

Remote positions are preferable."
