I've spent more than three hours on Mailchimp's tech support chat today. Ironically this was because they're "improving" their services and some of the legacy functions, which I need, are no longer working as intended. However, the new improved services are slow and clunky and not working properly either.

Wenn die @glsbank ihre Mitglieder schon dazu zwingt, die "neue App" zu nutzen, dann sollte diese auch gängigen Sicherheitsstandards entsprechen.
Ein Passwort auf 8-20 Zeichen zu beschränken ist schon seit den 90er Jahren out und alles andere als sicher.
Davon abgesehen hat die alte App einen Vault erstellt, den man bei einem Gerätewechsel bequem importieren konnte – in der neuen App gibts das nicht mehr. Ein gewaltiger Rückschritt!

I regain the ability to view the car details but now they are letting us know exactly why they want the position information etc. for.
What the hell.
I have 0 trust in their capacity at doing a decent score that is not fully biased.
Note that I have a 0 accident count since I started driving 20y ago. So I'm not even trying to hide anything.
This is just non-sense excuse to sell user data, make shady deals etc.
Also AI because... Yeah... Heuristics and statistics are bad words I guess ?

und es gibt #OffeneStandards die #Wahlfreiheit zwischen #Clients, #Plattformen, #Servern und #Providern ermöglichen (u.a. #IRC, #Zulip, #RocketChat, ...) und echte #E2EE mit #SelfCustody aller Schlüssel ermöglichen (u.a. #XMPP+#OMEMO & #PGP/MIME)...
Natürlich steht es Menschen frei irgendeinen großen, zentralisierten Anbieter zu nutzen, nur wird dieser am ehesten zur #Enshittification neigen und mit #PII wie #Telefonnummern entsprechende Begierlichkeiten wecken!

I was trying to find an article I read on this, and Google’s enshittified AI happily told me that the “Super Metroid eye door bug” refers to the bug that allows you to open certain doors by shooting missiles at the eye, and you can exploit this bug to enter Phantoon’s chamber.
