Are EV sales 'tanking'?

This is a very interesting video responding to the argument "EV sales have tanked".

The rest of this is a quick TL:DR if the video, you can skip straight to the video of you are going to watch it.

The summary is that ICE and EV sales are both below expectations, though EV sales are increasing. This is largely because a lot of people want to buy an EV as the next vehicle but are keeping their vehicles for longer until prices reduce and technology becomes more advanced.

The video includes details of how this is affecting different companies, particularly those who have large dents and now are hit will falling ICE sales but EV sales not yet large enough to replace them. It also backs up these statements with figures from industry reports and touches on the US lagging behind the EU and China.

I drove to Detroit today. Everything was going swimmingly, until my last #ev charging spot. I actually stopped at an earlier spot to use the bathroom, and since they had chargers, I figured I'd just use them. But my cards didn't work and they didn't have an app.

Gas prices in Canada are surging to remind everyone that the cost of gas is burning the forests of CANADA in a massive Climate Wildfire Catastrophe.

Here's two pictures, one is a screen grab of Canadian oil prices right now, and the other picture is a screen grab of ciffc.net, the site for all wildfire fighting across rhe country.

It would be unforgivable to buy a gas burning engine. A sin, moral failure, stupidity, crime against your family.

Home again. Hoorah!
A slow trip, as expected, back home from Ardnamurchan, but we took a slightly different route, via the Coran ferry this time. Goth Leo the #EV loves ferries, so inevitably as we arrived we were simply waved aboard with no waiting at all.
Absolutely bucketing down most of the way & strong headwinds on the last two legs of the journey, but we took the chance to do a good monthly shop in Dingwall.
Wonderful to see our friends again, & now time to settle down to count blessings.

Congress want to tax your already-owned #EV $250 annually claiming it’s a road fee, rather than put a tax on electric charging like a gas station. Regardless of where and how often you drive. No other tax exists for an already-owned personal item. The Big Bollocks Bill is anything but beautiful.
