Good morning tooters. It’s a fairly mild morning, a little cool at around 5c & we’re only heading to 11c today with more rain forecast.
If I want to go for a walk, which I do, I need to get organised & head away soon. Everything is quite drippy & wet out so it will just be one of the shorter walks but I really want to have a good walk especially as my back is a little sore.
Heading to Melbourne tomorrow for 3 days, home Sunday with my NZ friend & while I’m looking forward to catching up with her, I’m not sure I’m actually looking forward to the stay. I’m not sure where I’m sleeping as there is just one spare bed, so I’m taking a sleeping bag & I may well be on the couch 🤷🏼‍♀️ 😐 - what fun - NOT - I’m getting too old 😂.
Anyway, time to get showered & dressed & off for my walk. Have a wonderful #Wednesday & stay warm out there, I hope you all have sunshine ☀️🌻. #Weather #Winter #Exercise #Melbourne #Friends

But experts say you probably don’t need to reach for a sports drink during your regular workouts. Even if those workouts are strenuous or happen in hotter weather, drinking water when you’re thirsty is enough to keep you hydrated. The sugar and carbohydrates found in many sports drinks certainly may help competitive athletes maintain their energy, but the electrolytes have little impact.

Good morning tooting friends. It’s a grey wet day today & a fairly big rain band is just hitting us on the border. It’ll was a pretty mild night & is about 9c now heading up to 15c with rain forecast for nearly all day. It’s windy too & I’m loving watching the dark clouds moving across the sky.
I bounced out of bed just after 6am thinking I would get myself organised & have a nice big walk around the river. The rain has quashed that idea as it’s just a little bit too heavy. Damn! New plan - a Balance class which will occupy me for around an hour 😁. I can’t do much more than that as I have a big knot in the muscle on the back of my shoulder & I can’t reach it properly to help myself & can only get into the massage therapist tomorrow afternoon 🤷🏼‍♀️. It’s sore but will be fine.
Apart from that it’ll be a fairly quiet day, I don’t need to go out until this afternoon to the doctors which is just getting my blood test results & reviewing my care plan which really has nothing there, its just because of my age & because eventually there will be things there 🙃.

Number one dog trick!

She will happily go for 90 minutes at a time on the treadmill, which is a lifesaver when the weather's bad. She did almost 3 miles outside earlier, so this is just a little extra exercise before bed (tomorrow's going to be busy and our regular walk may be shorter than usual).

Now if I could just train *myself* to use the treadmill...

Good morning tooters. It’s apparently about 3c this morning, but I found I was a little too warm sleeping last night, that’s ok I slept fairly well. We’re heading to a sunny 17c today 😃 how lovely it will be.
Not doing too much this morning, a simple exercise or stretch class & some washing. After lunch I’m going to my daughters place & we will go together & visit a mutual friend who has been in hospital for months but apart from her partner hasn’t wanted any other visitors. Now as she finally gets closer to going home she has agreed to have some visitors. I’m not sure what to expect, but she’s been through a lot in the last few years. We truly don’t realise how lucky most of us really are.
