Conservatives are weird about #fairness. They'll scream that life isn't fair and you're a commie if you mention income inequality. Or when you say the US mistreats other countries and should be restrained by a stronger UN, they'll call you an evil globalist. Or if you point out that some groups still feel the effects of being disadvantaged and we should give them advantages today, they'll claim you're worse than the old racists and sexists.

But let's tariff everybody to fix our trade imbalance.

I am frustrated. Here in Penticton, BC, the city council candidate who won in yesterday's election is one of those types who espouse a "don't tax us" stance.

This is a well-to-do community. There is plenty of taxable income that could go to improve social services.

But, nooooo. Wealthy folks don't want to pay taxes. Sigh.

From my years of working in service industries, I can say that, in general, the rich are cheap, the poor are generous.

Kurz gesagt: Veganismus, der nicht #intersektional ist, verfehlt sein Ziel, gegen die Unterdrückung von #Tier und #Mensch zu kämpfen auf allen Ebenen. Intersektionaler Veganismus hingegen bezieht mit ein, dass wir Unterdrückung besser gemeinsam bekämpfen können. Es braucht #Mitgefühl für Tiere und genauso für Menschen, vor allem für diejenigen, die am Rande der Gesellschaft stehen. Und zwar weil #Unterdrückung falsch ist, egal wen sie betrifft.

Veganismus wird oft darauf beschränkt, was auf dem Teller landet, dabei gehen cruelty free und vegane Gewohnheiten weit darüber hinaus.... Das liegt daran, dass das System des #Anbaus, der #Ernte, des #Verpackens und der #Verteilung oft auf der Unterdrückung von schwächeren Gruppen basiert. Indem wir den Aspekt der #Intersektionalität beim Veganismus mit einbeziehen, können wir bessere Verbündete sein und über diese #Ungerechtigkeit aufklären.
