Elizabeth Tai | 戴秀铃 🇲🇾
Now, I am enjoying #Feud, but it's not a drama without flaws. But I find it cathartic, for some reason. And it's something I look forward to watching every day because it's the most visually pleasurable drama I've seen in a long time. And the fact that it's philosophical too (it's the same writer as A Moment but Forever) is also a treat. Though, this time the philosophy centres around marriage, and the suffering women often go through as the wife and what men need to learn about a woman's pain in a marriage.

Now, all the comments from Chinese Internet denizens about the drama being "ugly" got me scratching my head. I mean, a xianxia that FINALLY tries to do aesthetics differently and you yell ugly? And if it's pastels and white, you'll say boring. I swear, being on Weibo can do your head in.

Far be it to comment on how AveX does her reviews, but I wish we had a more joyful alternative on Youtube to balance her out, you know? Someone who can comment confidently about the cultural aspects (they don't have to be ethnically Chinese) but can still find joy in CDramas. I am more of a blogger, I do have a podcast, but I've gotten off it due to work commitments, but ironically it's because of negative nancies like AvenueX that I'm motivated to do my podcast again, only to give balance so that people realise that there's joy to be had with CDramas.

2/2

#Cdrama
