Cecilia Mjausson Huster<p>This mixed media background started life as a failed attempt at negative foiling a sentiment press plate. I ink blended over it with blue inks. Then I heat embossed it with the vintage letter press plate from the April BetterPress Kit of the Month. steve<p><strong>The loyal companion vs. a book for each occasion</strong></p><p>I’ve noticed a recurring pattern, where I vacillate between having one notebook that I put <em>everything</em> and using a notebook for something specific. </p><p>Like a trip – do I bring my main journal, though big and heavy, and keep everything in one book or should I bring just a field notes and make the book entirely about the trip. </p><p>Books I took for just one thing feel special. They’re worn a bit more – because I take a simple Kraft-covered book like field notes or the like – and things like Museum entry stickers get stuck in or on them.
