#TGIF Just before light rain started, we had a yard time. My fig tree, for the first time since it was planted some 14 years ago, bore fruits to an edible stage. Figs always fell while they were green. Not my favorite fruit, but I ate two and pretty good. I could see birds have eaten some.
Tired, and so is Kengo (from what?).

Please share your favorite #fig #recipes

I bought some figs and I have been carrying them around as I travel for work. But I only eat lunch outdoors, and these figs seem to be very attractive to bees, so I've been afraid to open the bag.

So now I have a bag of bruised figs. They got frozen in a below-temp mini fridge too.

So - fig compote? Other suggestions?

Meanwhile, a rogue #fig emerged under the big blue spruce in the front by the driveway. (The neighbor’s have a fig #tree on the other side of the driveway.)

I dug it out as best I could and transplanted to one of my two failed fig spots. This time maybe there’s a fighting chance. It doesn’t look happy, though. Already wilty.
