Nutzt dies wer von euch schon und wie ist es zum nutzen? Wird dies evt auch von @librewolf übernomen und sind KI Suchmaschinen wirklich besser als bisherige? Ich bin skeptisch hatte dies aber noch nie genutzt.
Ok this makes twice now, I've started up my machine and Firefox is... blank. No history. No saved tabs nothing just a blank Firefox.
No idea what is going on but fool me twice. Peace out Firefox.
I've been trying #ZenBrowser recently. Some great features:
- better privacy [than #firefox]
- 2 pane browsing
- 'glance' - take a peak at a link in a popup.
Vertical tabs though cause problems. I like the idea but the problem is they make websites think I'm on tablet (unless window is maximised), which is v annoying. (auto)hiding with compact mode also brings inconveniences.
ffox 140 now brings tab groups - these work nicely and are prob better than vertical tabs IMO.
So today it is Friday the 13th and apparently I should have stayed in my bed.
Just spent way too much time troubleshooting why the curl requests I got from Firefox by using "copy request to cUrl" did not work. Turns out it is a Firefox bug. For unknown reason it adds a caret "^" before each parameter separator in the query string in the curl request, breaking everything. 
@MsDropbear42 All fixed, all Foxes happy little campers again, woohoo.
Gross, #Firefox: why are sidebar tabs even an option, let alone something that can get accidentally activated??
If you're trying to sort through your Pocket saves, this bit of Python code might be useful. You export your Pocket data to csv file from Pocket website, then run this code and it will generate a single HTML page with all your unread links sorted by date and grouped by tag.

We may be aware of Firefox OS' existance in the past but it was never even tried to be sold anywhere to any effect.
- And believe me, both @fuchsiii and I tried to get our hands on any device that came with it and I've never heard of the #ZTE Open C before, much less any device being sold in #Germany which is absolutely flabberghasting to me given that in the late 2000s and early 2010s #Mozilla #Firefox was the dominant #Browser in Germany and thus had the best chance to leverage that customer base with good integrations like #MozillaPocket / #FirefoxPocket.
I still love #Fennec aka. #FirefoxMobile but I'm still mad at @Mozilla for not even trying to sell me a device, cuz I was at the time literally shouting: "#ShutUpAndTakeMyMoney!" and searched the (back then 4) MNOs' and their (half a dozen) MVNOs' stores (both retail and online) and never came across a Firefox OS device.
- Same with (online) electronics retailers: NONE of them even had a single listing when I looked for those.
Which reminds me of the (coined by me term) "#RedBlueIndex" [named after the parent company that owns both #Saturn and #MediaMarkt, the two biggest, spechalized electronics retailers]:
- If you can't find a product on shelf at Saturn/MediaMarkt, it doesn't exist in the minds and conciousness of the average #consumers!
We have 2025 and #Firefox #GTK (#Linux) file dialog can sort files by date. Unless you use the search function by typing, it just springs back to alphanumerical sorting.
2025 and Firefox GTK save file dialog clearly manages to indicate the filename has input focus. Though (after clicking into the filelist) typing now starts the search function instead of entering into the filename field.; with no indication whatsoever. At least clear the selection from the filename, dammit, that is what indicates 'you are about to type over here'.
Older Debian, i have to admit. But even if this is, say, 4,5,6 years old … Seriously? I sure am too nitpicky. Who cares about those basics.

This has never happened before for me, & i wonder if the root cause might be Aunty doing something there with new #iView changes that they only tested on google crap & not also #Firefox? Last night i had no problems, & since then only one of those browsers has had an update. 
Make Google Great Again: Add the URI parameter ?udm=14. It'll turn off all the fluff from your search result page, including the AI box at the top. It'll make Google the way it was before when it was great.
Firefox and Chrome users can install a plugin to add this parameter automatically:

@ciourte @netopwibby Needless to say I've only heard of some Spanish low-cost #MVNO offering one device only in a #prepaid #bundle when #FirefoxOS was unveiled at the #MWC in #Barcelona based off coverage in @ct_Magazin at the time.
- Cuz I remember #WebDevs like @fuchsiii really loving it because it was the then hot & fresh #HTML5 + #JS6 + #CSS3 combo to make it super-easy to do #Apps. All one needs to build an app was #Firefox as Browser and the ability to basically zip' it.
Alas @Mozilla deciding on purpose to literally splinter the market by letting #MNO|s and MVNOs run their #AppStore|s instead of a #centralized model, making the situation worse than in the "P.R." #China where there are several vendor-independent #AppStores for #Android.
- "Conspiracy Theorists" even suggested that this was deliberate self-sabotage to benefit #Google and #Android, tho needless to say Firefox OS aimed at devices & specs that were too low for Android.
Still, I'm #StillMad at #Mozilla for faceplanting Firefox OS cuz it had the easiest way to get started and a good architecture being every #App is just a #WebApp and all the system calls were standard #HTML5 permissions and nothing fancy.

Complaints from users with ad blockers about YouTube warning messages are increasing. Even previously functioning ad blockers are probably recognized by YouTube
Honestly I'm glad to see it. There are very real performance and web standard compatibility issues with Firefox that need fixing before they start worrying about AI garbage and shopping assistants.

Mein #Firefox ist weg. Verschwunden. Die Verknüpfung ist noch da, aber Windows sagt, da liegt nix.
Vor dem Mittagessen war er noch da und installierte ein Update und jetzt ist die .EXE weg.
Wie kann sowas denn passieren?!
Geht das Euch auch so oder hat die IT meines Arbeitgebers hier was verbockt?
