Even with a fraction of understanding of geometry nodes, it's so much fun to play with.
With this super simple Geometry Nodes setup you can simulate weathering streaks on your mesh using "rain" particles.
This is a bit dressed-down, you can spice it up with some random values per particle for example.

Managed to make an attempt at a procedural Alchemist Lab for the first prompt of #nodevember2024. Just some flasks and a table for for them. But it's something.
Technically finished it yesterday, but busy being busy
(obligatory @Nodevember )
I spent way too much time on this geo nodes setup yesterday.
This is part of a project I've been working with, off and on, for a long time. Every time I go back in, build something like this, and then lose interest for a while.
Anyone else have that problem?
And the geometry nodes in case anyone else has been wanting to do this for ages.
Throw it on an empty and point it to a collection to produces meshes.
The most challenging part was actually filling the curve, which took some creative thinking. I extruding the curve as a profile along a 0-length curve line using "Curve to Mesh", then merging by distance - resulting in a single n-gon that can be triangulated.
Browsing through the new Extensions section (previously called "Add-ons") in the Blender 4.3 Alpha preferences, I stumbled upon an extension offering lots of useful, ready-to-use Geometry Node functions, including instanced radial arrays, grid arrays and spherical arrays…
Still wrong, but fast!
The most exciting Blender development currently. Finally a worthy successor to baking sound to curves on the horizon!

This video shows the first 9 iterations of the Sierpiński Pyramid #fractal (Aka #Tetrix ), Using a method where the previous iterations is scaled, copied, and then arranged back into a pyramid.
this video was made in #blender3d using #geonodes this is probably the easiest fractal to make in #blender if you are interested in the node setup leave a comment and Ill post something.
the #music is also by me
Sound to f curves is a bit 1990s. Audio processing nodes when?
A stunning anime #VFX done with #Blender #GeoNodes by Hiroshi Kanazawa a VFX specialist, he made a cool stuff. and you can see more here in this Web Site.

Japanese are making incredible stuff.

When #Blender make better other application is good, here in this #Lightwave video presentation, Bishop say #GeoNodes will come with next release. :) #b3d #blender

While I'm in my "I remembered Mastodon exists" state for a bit. I might as well update my #introduction shenanigans.
So.. Ello Elloo! The names Eroax, or EroAxe(e) depending where you look. I'm a #gamedev and #3dmodeller that does *way* too much #Blender + some bits of #GodotEngine
ESPECIALLY weird workflow shenanigans #geonodes are great.
I also work on #stream tools. Mostly for #Twitch since the #Youtube Abyss scares me lol.
(Most of which are on #KoFi btw) https://ko-fi.com/eroax
