The post reads as follows: “been selling spells on etsy lately. $50 a pop and i just send the customer a photo of a burnt candle. thank you mentally ill women.”While this makes us non-witchy people laugh (and witches on Reddit wary of the validity of Etsy spells), selling magic on Etsy does appear to be a real thing. Journey on over to the site, and you’ll see hundreds of listings for people trying to sell their love and money spells (most of which are accompanied by the shittiest A.I. art imaginable).Most of the time, this is just a scam. However, one woman alleges that her Etsy spell wasn’t only a scam, but a sort of honeypot. According to this woman, she bought a spell against someone — then, the witch she bought it from turned around and told the person about it.
