DorineA red photo with a line because today in The Hague there will be no <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/silentsunday?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#silentsunday</a>. A human red line will be drawn for the second time. More than 100,000 people will march through The Hague in red clothing for the Palestinians in Gaza. With the aim of indicating to the government that enough is enough and that sanctions should be imposed on Israel. I don't have time to walk the entire way, but I will walk part of it.<br> The photo is of a child playing in the fountain on the Spuiplein in a reflection of the red and blue facade of the Anton Philips Theater in The Hague. The fountain with jumping water jets and the Anton Philips Theater are no longer there. DorineThe lighthouse reflected in this puddle is a copy. DorineIn 2011 I took these photos of the pier in Scheveningen/The Hague. I took photos that I mirrored with photoshop. This is how new buildings, new piers, were created, I called them metamorphoses of the pier. At that time there was a lot of fuss about the pier. It had fallen into disrepair and renovating it would cost a lot of money. There was talk of it being demolished. Emotions ran high. There were proponents and opponents. I had 4 metamorphoses printed on dibond and sold 12 of them in 1 weekend. The pier is still there. It is also still a problem with a lot of overdue maintenance. A developer now wants to build a hotel there. Who knows, maybe that will help.
