EU OS<p>Day 2 of <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/hackdays2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hackdays2025</span></a>: <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/EU_OS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EU_OS</span></a> has now a new Proof-of-Concept section on the website (work in progress). The team enrolled some <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/bootc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>bootc</span></a> machines in <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/Foreman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Foreman</span></a>. The results so far were pitched to a selection board. Thanks to the great team who made this all possible! 🙏 </p><p>Unfortunately, <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/EU_OS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EU_OS</span></a> has not been selected to proceed to the next stage.</p>
EU OS<p>Day 1 of <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/hackdays2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hackdays2025</span></a>: <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/EU_OS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EU_OS</span></a> has started with possibly the biggest team of 14 people from several countries. To build the proof of concept, the team works on several sub tasks:</p><p>- building the EU OS image<br>- setting up full-disk encryption<br>- setting up FIDO2 hardware key to unlock encryption<br>- fleet management with <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/Foreman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Foreman</span></a><br>- user management with <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/FreeIPA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FreeIPA</span></a> (if time is left)</p><p>1/2</p>
