On Apple #iOS you can create web shortcut apps, by clicking “Add to Home Screen” on the site menu in Safari.

There is a weird thing where the iOS keyboard locks up in those apps. I’ve seen it happen in multiple different ones, but it’s most noticeable in Hazi Hero. Every so often, the keyboard will pop up but just…not accept input. I can hit “Done” and dismiss the keyboard but bringing it back doesn’t help.

This behavior does not happen if I visit the site in plain Safari. Only web app mode.

I will be doing some googling and homework of my own, but does anyone here know if something that shows up as "org.openoffice.script" on iOS is malware?

A friend got a warning from iOS about this script in her screentime app, and she's got a fucked up situation with an ex. The combination is worrying her.

The ‘Recents’ timer history in #iOS is a really odd concept. Why am I going to scroll down a randomly ordered list to find 12 mins rather than just dial it in again?

I suspect that #parentalcontrols are intentionally designed to make it harder for #parents to take any actions that aren't in the tech company's business interests.

I can’t tell if it’s #BadBadUX because it’s deprioritized internally, “tacked on” at the end, or if it’s deliberate #DarkPatterns to confuse and exasperate parents into complying with their monetization goals.

My experience in #PlayStation, #Roblox, #Android, #iOS, #GooglePlay is so bad, it couldn’t be by accident.
