royal<p>In Luke 24, when the disciples encounter the risen Jesus, they think he's a ghost. Then he proves he isn't a ghost by eating a piece of fish.</p><p>God is faithful, and he's faithful forever. When God became incarnate, when he united divinity with humanity in the body of Jesus, it wasn't an experiment. It wasn't a short vacation where he packed his divinity into a body like you would pack your things into a suitcase, and when you get home, you unpack everything. That isn't how the incarnation works, and that matters for us. When God joins humanity as Jesus, and then humanity murders him, God doesn't turn his back on us. God is faithful, and he's faithful forever. If he didn't turn his back on us at the cross, he isn't ever going to turn his back on us.
