on a train platform, a newly planted tree, with its roots encased in asphalt, has received a large black plastic tube ~5-6 inches in diameter. the tubing surrounds the base of the tree to the height of 2 feet. in comparison, the small tree is under 2 inches in diameter at its base.

'fishing deadline' at rooster rock

i would love an explanation as to how to interpret this sign. is there an imposed deadline related to the sign appearing from the murky depths? does a fishing line die beyond the designated area? clarification is necessary.

Uncanny artwork by mother nature. This foliage had grown on the rear window of our car during my working hours yesterday, with nothing out of the ordinary in the weather (–5°C and cloudy) to explain it. Yet in some subtle way the conditions must have been just right for it to occur.
