Rachel<p><span>Cluster Rebuild Project: MiniLab Eddition<br><br>The cluster is now entirely* running on the Minilab hardware. Down to 5 talos nodes.<br><br>The entire stack including GPU node, and switch weighs in at about ~170W. That is measured from the wall and consists of:<br><br>* 4x Odroid H4 Ultra with 32GB RAM, 2x 800GB SSD, 1x 256gb NVMe<br>* 1x Intel Core Ultra 235 with 32GB RAM, 1x 256GB NVMe, Nvidia Tesla P4<br>* 1x CRS310-8G+2S+IN<br>* 1x RB5009<br><br>~50W of the total is the GPU node and of that 25W is the GPU itself<br><br>Three of the odroid nodes are the k8s control plane + ceph mon, the fourth odroid runs two ceph OSD and functions as a worker node as well.<br><br>There is a MikroTik CRS310-8G+2S+IN providing networking (I may use spare ports for LACP if needed), and a RB5009 standing by to take over as the core router<br><br>Two raspi4 will serve as dhcp/dns/misc <br><br>The plan is to avoid hardware upgrades*; I want to wait for some new stuff I think. I'll probably want a third worker eventually.
