rhys<p>Toynbee draws out the <a href="https://mastodon.rhys.wtf/tags/Labour" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Labour</span></a> vs Reform battlefield and it's vastly different to the Tory vs Reform war that's dominated so far.</p><p>A part of it is why I'm not broadly worried about Reform nationally — we're simply not vulnerable to their brand of populism in the same way some other countries are. Aloniaxx<p>Gov is providing £38m funding to help make bus travel cleaner/cheaper.</p><p>The latest round of funding will see 319 zero-emission buses delivered across 12 areas, supporting high skilled manufacturing jobs, bringing 3 times as much private investment and reducing emissions. Wen<p>Starmer - a two faced tragedy.</p><p>I think the headline is unfortunate - the article is more subtle, but the assimilation (reverse takeover?) of Labour by the right is almost complete. rhys<p>It's tempting to think this positive news given <a href="https://mastodon.rhys.wtf/tags/Labour" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Labour</span></a> plans for infrastructure and planning reform, plus big boosts to public sector capital spend delivered so far, but as noted in the article there may be a correlation error at play.</p><p>The 'levelling up' funds were distributed by Tories and were known for their politicisation of the process.
