My first #linuxmint hiccup. Bluetooth won't recognize my little BT speaker. Bummer. Open to suggestions. Manual for speaker doesn't mention anything about linux.

I started using Linux back in January or February 2020, and my first distro was Elementary OS 5.1. It felt like the right choice from the start.

Since then, I've tried a bunch of other distros like Arch, Fedora, Alpine, Linux Mint, Manjaro, and Paldo. But in the end, I fell in love with Debian stable.

Arch and Fedora didn't really sit with me, but I might give Arch another shot someday. Out of all the ones I tried, my top picks are Debian, Elementary, Mint, Alpine, and Paldo.

Today, I run Elementary alongside Debian on my laptop, and Debian on both my desktops. I love what Elementary does, but for me, Debian is number one, and Elementary is a close second.

#DeApple -ing has switched for me from #LinuxMint to #ElementalOS.

Used #Aptik to move my stuff from one to the other. Imperfect, but complete success.

friends i recently installed weston in linux mint debian edition faye
i was trying to get waydroid to work but gave up after i was unable to get the weston waydroid window to connect to the internet
is it better to make a new clean installation of linux mint DE than to try and remove weston?
i have not noticed anything bad, but have read that installing new desktop environments can cause problems and weston installed wayland

Do any users of #GIMP on #Linux know how to install the in-development version of the Resynthesizer plugin, called the "resynthesizer3 branch"?

Despite being a Linux user, I've maybe "cloned, built and installed" two things since 2019...so I need instructions-for-dummies.

I'm just missing a couple of the healing functions from Resynthesizer as it was far better at it than I am doing it manually.

#TomTom on #LinuxMint has a very interesting zoom. I think it's speed-dependent/logarithmic. Once I remember that, it's really precise.

Overall, some tricks need to be learned. But I haven't been swearing at it as much as I did with #Garmin

(Talkin' 'bout route-planning on a laptop. TT is web-based, Garmin uses an application.)
