I did this about a decade and a half ago

It is mostly about defining the self; the illusion of control; what luck is; what affects our thinking; the attention economy; the literacy virus; the motor that motivates us

It’s a recap of everything I’d been writing about and teaching, up to that point – shortly after this I did a few actual personal appearances in venues to deliver this talk to audiences.

YouTubeSuccess In Seven Parts -- pilotThis pilot episode here is produced as more of a documentary styled for television (in a kind of James Burke way).• The Self• The Illusion Of Control• What I...

I think I need to figure out how to make these.

I don’t have great #luck with VTTs, but my rolls with RL math rocks are TERRIBLE. I had one Irish GM offer to mail #dice to me in Australia, and a Mexican GM advised—straight-faced, no less—I seek out a santero.

I feel my #DCCRPG sets would require something pretty elaborate, though.

A quotation from Euripides

HECUBA:   Then no man on earth is truly free,
All are slaves of money or necessity.
Public opinion or fear of prosecution
forces each one, against his conscience,
   to conform.

Euripides (485?-406? BC) Greek tragic dramatist
Hecuba [Hekabe; Ἑκάβη], l. 864ff (c. 424 BC) [tr. Arrowsmith (1958)]
